What we do and who we are

WHAT:  Northwoods Wildlife and Wetlands Club

WHO: Members from Iron, Vilas, and Ashland Counties, centered around Mercer, Manitowish and Manitowish Waters communities.  Everyone that enjoys the shooting sports and/or hunting, fishing or the outdoors is welcome to join.  We have many down-state and some out of state members too!

WHY: Our goal is to provide conservation education, and outdoor sporting opportunities including shooting, archery, and hunting.  Projects include hunter education, shooting instruction, development and operation of a shooting range and archery range, trap league, archery league, and Adopt-A-Highway.

WHERE: Meetings are the 3^rd Monday every month and are held at the Range or in December at the Mercer Community Center.  Meetings start at 7:00 PM.  Everyone is Welcome!  Most activities are held at the Northwoods Shooting Range, five miles south of Mercer on the east side of US Highway 51, on RANGE RD.  There is a sign on Highway 51.  Stop in and take a look at the range.
